Crashy crashy

I have been using the slate app since the first release. In the previous versions I could live with videos not appearing and other minor annoyances. On one of my devices this new version wont even open. It just crashes after trying to load. On the other two devices generally, I find the new app is bloated and slow to update content -- parallax does nothing for me. I know Slate wants pretty but when it comes at the expense of usable and quick -- you can keep your pretty.
