Love Slate, HATE the app

Slate is great, I love the articles and the writers, its my one must read daily. But this app is the worst. Im in the middle of reading an article and I get an email. I click to read and reply to the email, then go back to Slate. The app will almost always refresh itself and bring me back to the top of the home screen! I then have to scroll all the way back down to find the article I was reading and then scroll down to find where I left off.

Slate, please keep readers at the exact spot where they left off!!! Its the most annoying thing and honestly makes me want to quit using the app altogether.

Also, the search function is pretty garbage. I rarely can find an article Ive read previously using key words. Please improve that as well.

A great product like yours needs an equally great app. Please improve and update!!
